Chia is the definitive worst and its not close. Fans would be able to pull off better trades than him

He's really bad. Chia and Sakic are arguably worse though. Snow was in the conversation as recently as October. Sweeney seems pretty meh.

I'd be curious to hear this argument. Signed Yakupov, Kerfoot, Bernier and Toninato. Grabbed Nemeth and Nieto off waivers. Acquired Andrighetto and Girard. Not to mention the overall haul from the Duchy trade.

Sakic is not a genius GM but he's not the worst GM either.

Probably by a hair but Chia ain’t far behind.

Though by all accounts under competent management the Oilers should hav even clear cut cup contenders yet he found a way to make his team somehow worse.

Lou Lamoriello has to be one of the worst. Of course, anybody can win if they cheat on the salary cap.

The guy’s a psychopath who has no feelings for laughs at the people that work for him, abuses players, and just has no real GM sense (like I mentioned: cheating on the salary cap). He also doesn’t give newcomers a chance.

Even though he turned the Devils franchise around, he is, without a doubt, the worst boss in NHL history. He’s also been lucky, considering the players he had, as basically anybody with proper GM sense would’ve probably won more cups than he did.

If Bergevin was in his place, he would’ve looked as bad.

Imagine the Habs having Lamoriello as a GM; they’d have NOTHING!

I don't know if he's the worst but he's certainly in the running for it. Took a good young core and destroyed it. Hired the worst coach in the league, shipped out Subban, has incompetent people running the minors... He's a really bad GM.
Actually, I still believe in Weber. We should really give him a chance. He’s definitely better than Subban, and was the moment he was traded. Weber still has years left if, God hope, he recovers well from his foot injury. Did Subban stay on the first pair with us? Was Subban our ABSOLUTE go-to guy apart from Price? No. Could Subban stay on or CRACK the Team Canada lineup? Not now, and never in his 29 years. Was Shea Weber a first-pairer and one of the captains (‘A’lternate captain) in both the Olympics AND the World Cup of Hockey? Absolutely.

Claude Julien is not bad either (apart from putting Drouin center and Galchenyuk on the wing, doing shit backwards). Bergevin’s the bad GM. Send down Froese, send down, Mete, SEND DOWN DE LA ROSE! Get someone who can score goals instead of someone with hands of stone! Call up Taormina! You’ve been mismanaging Jerabek ever since the moment you sent him down to the AHL. The Juulsen experiment was over before it started. Lernout is shit in the AHL. Why the f*** would you call him up?

Trade Shaw, Deslauriers is not that good. Carr should be a regular (Julien’s fault), and if Gallagher is so valuable, trade him for someone who has stats.

And Mete is horrible, considering his assets and playing style. He has yet to score a goal
