I watch them and I see a player who cherry picks, refuses to back check, turns the puck over a lot and frequently loses coverage in the slot. He's scoring at an impressive 100 point pace over the last 3 seasons, but is also -18 over that same timeframe. Obviously your #1 center should not be a net negative player if you are aiming to compete.
He's not THE problem in New Jersey, but is he a problem? I think he's playing for his own points, which makes for a toxic locker room culture.
