In much of our recent stretch, there have been many analysts around the league who have, with completely straight faces, talked about how the Canes were struggling 5 on 5 but living off of our powerplay.

It just feels wrong.

I think the Canes know that the real opponent is Vegas and, knowing that it was a back-to-back, were somewhat conserving their defensive energy tonight. It's a subconscious and not conscious thing, obviously, but teams cannot realistically go 100% every single game.

Yeah the broadcast 'booth' is with the cameras just above the lower level. Sections 111 and 112 walked right by them all night.

I couldn't find a feed for our guys so I watched thr NHLN feed of the Yotes crew. Strangest thing I've ever listened to. Other than about 3 minutes of them talking about how good their young goal scorer was they did nothing but talk about how elite the Canes are, the entire game.
