His problem is that when he makes a mistake, it's the worst mistake he could possibly make short of putting the puck in his own net. He's a good player with horrific mental lapses that lead to really bad results. Usually Andersen as able to bail him out. But if Andersen isn't on his game, oh boy do things go south.

He's frustrating because his form of stupidity is unprecedented. Like, last season, for about half a dozen games he started doing one-handed d-to-d shovel passes behind his own net. Not for any reason, or anything, just 'cause. Until of course one ended up being his pattented 4 foot pass to an open space, resulting in a defensive zone turnover and goal against. All because he decided to just not pass with two hands on his stick, completely unprompted.
