He was slow in his prime and now that he is older he is even slower. Heatly 2.0.

Except Heatley had a way better career, more consistent for starters.
Dany was the better player of the two.

For example, Heatley had 43,6 goal avg for 6 straight seasons, 41, 50, 50, 41, 39, 39
89 points, 103 points, 105 points, 82 points, 72 points, 82 points.

But i suppose, there are similarities, also, rather Heatley 0.5 than Heatley 2.0 :)

Heatley career is not way better then Perry career. I would take Perry career because I would have more and better awards, a Stanley Cup, one more Olympic Gold Medal and being a member of Triple Gold Club. I would take that over 1 more top 10 point and goal scoring finishes that Heatley has.

He's overpaid for his current production; he (along with Getzlaf to a much lesser degree) are past their primes unfortunately :(

11' was an outlier year but his PPG has been pretty consistent but the last two years he's declined.

Also if you visited the ducks board overrated is not what comes to mind

I am surprised to see that Perry is only 33. When I see him on the ice he looks mid 40's. He hasn't aged well for an Athlete.

In terms of effectiveness or facial looks? Because for the longest time Perry looked much younger than his actual age until he started to grow facial hair.

The guy got the puckhandling skill still, but not the legs. Unless he can motivate himself to go some kind of hell during the off season to get back the legs and lungs that he had, he'll just be more and more overpaid for every season.

He's definitely over paid by about 3 or 3.5 mil and his game really has fallen off, but a lot of people here seem to think he's a low end 3rd or 4th line player. He's still an NHL player, but probably more of an average 2nd liner paid like a good 1st liner.
