Is Claude Giroux the best FA signing in Sens history?

I think it's close between Giroux and Hasek. Hasek was so good it was weird. I kept thinking, there's no way he can blindly swim around and keep stopping the puck, while forgetting he'd been doing it for a decade plus.

We'll never see a goalie like that again.
I have never seen a Senators team appear more confident in their goaltender and how they play than they did that half a season. Night and day compared to basically every other tender we've ever had.

And then to have that confidence vanish after one adductor tweak.

Damn the Olympics, that was our year…

It's crazy that it takes 20 posts for the definitive answer to be found

Do people really follow this team?
Will always remember the presser on free agency day…

It's not good when among your top free agent signings of all time you have:

- someone who has barely played 20 games for you so far,
- someone who got injured and couldn't contribute when you needed him the most,
- other FAs whose best hockey was already in their rear-view mirror.

I don't think it's that surprising.

The vast majority of players that teams want to keep are kept.

It’s actually a great sign when you had to live through the Muckler years….

Murray was a bit better with his bottom pair/6 acquisitions, but still meh.

Dorion has done such a better job trading for high end talent. Not all the moves in and out have worked, but I must say that I’ve enjoyed having a GM that can finally pull the trigger on a big deal.

We would never be talking about Chycrun, let alone EK or DBC with any other GM we’ve had.

Now all we need is the perfect mix.
