Maclean, him, Reeds and Wamsley were all given 3 year extensions after the 2012-2013 season (right after Maclean won the Jack Adams).

So Cameron still would have two years left after this year off of that deal.

Bylsma and Guy Boucher will probably be "hot" coaching candidates this Spring when the inevitable round of firings takes place. This means they aren't coming here.

Seriously, I have no problem with Cameron right now. He's a teacher, and with a young club that's probably the approach that is needed. A change in coach (again) isn't going to magically change our results any more than it did for the Leafs or Oilers.

Yeah, that was my thinking too. Maybe not 5 years, but I think they're going to give him at least next season too, or at least until things go horribly wrong.
