I noticed my lawn looks like crap. My garden looks crispy. My vines are sagging.

I’ve got an irrigation issue.

1.Checked Orbit timer and settings-ok
2.Adjusted timer to run right now-fail
3.Turned on manual override-fail
4.Manually turned valves in-ground-fail
5.Manually turned on water line-ok
6.Checked circuit breaker box-ok

What other troubleshooting steps are there? Why does my water line seem okay and my breaker box seem okay, but manually turning the irrigation control valves in the in-ground irrigation control boxes result in nothing?

I’m stumped.

dead lawn means less upkeep. I'm not seeing the issue.

Let me get this straight. When you turn on the water line, I'm assuming at a spigot or in the basement, all of the little heads pop up and start shooting water all over the place. This basically takes the timer out of the loop entirely, right? But if the timer has any say in what's happening at all, nothing works? I assume that even when you turn the valves, they are still dependent on the timer letting water through the line, yes?

I don't have a watering system (see first line), but it sounds like the timer is your issue. It's refusing to open its valve for some reason.

edit: also, closing the thread (for now) because this is supposed to be a forum for car talk. Might be re-opened later.

edit edit: it's been opened back up.
