Hello, gang!

Another Flyers fan here. I've read this board several years but finally accomplished to register because of this pandemic boredom. More of a long distance fan as I currently live in UK. Never lived or even visited Philly, but Flyers has always had some of my favorite players (from LeClair and Kapanen to Hartnell and Giroux) in their team and that's probably the reason for my "fandom". Flyers, NHL prospects and fantasy hockey are my passion and I'm happy to be able to share my thoughts and join discussion here.

Can't wait for hockey to be back!​

Favourite players in the present: Claude Giroux (watched him a lot with Gatineau), Travis Konecny (watched him with Ottawa) and am becoming a big fan of Scott Laughton (Oshawa)

Most Hated: Any Penguins - esp Bob Errey

Hobbies: Besides hockey, I like planting trees

Position (if you play): I never have had ice skates on my feet. My wife took up a ladies league a few years ago (at age 51) and plays defense.

Flyers fan since: 1971 to 73. My dad's company had seats 6 rows behind Lou Nolon, I was hooked as a young kid. We never got those seats again after they won the Cup. Been a STH since 1987, and was on another MB until recently.

Ding, I should have listed Brind'amour too. He is my wife's favorite. She still wears his jersey, and received compliments for having the guts to wear it on Keith Primeau night.

We were in Pittsburgh for a Philly Wings and Flyers games the weekend of their trade. We were in the same hotel as both teams. Every Flyer we ran into looked depressed. Saw everyone but 88 and Leclair.

I have rarely missed a flyer's game since the late 90's, and watch a fair bit of hockey outside of the flyers, as well. Have been on and off online hockey communities since 1999 or so, but this is my first ever post on HF.​
