This must be organised by some illiterate: Neither Real Madrid, Liverpool nor AC or Inter Milan are any actual champions; Leicester is neither, but that might change in time.

The last time Bayern came to the NYC area about 10 years ago tickets were $10-15 for even lower level seats, add another zero to that price for this tournament and they probably won't have their best team either

Yeah, pre-season friendly tourney.

Also, why say throughout North America, when it's just America listed?

throughout "North America and Europe"

but even so it would be more accurate to say "throughout the US and British Isles plus Sweden"

Is the International Champions Cup really news to some people here? It's been going on for three years now. PSG winning the NA version last summer.

I'm more surprised that people - admittedly this forum being centred around supporters of teams from other continents - care about pre-season friendlies.

Why shouldn't we?

-You get to see your youth players in action, new players get unveiled and at the end it's club football, something we haven't been able to watch after a couple of months.

The majority of us are in North America, and as you said supporters of teams from other continents, so since games are in North America, I think the excitement about pre-season friendlies is largely due to the chance to see our favourite teams.

That's true. I just meant, why say North America if you aren't going to Canada or Mexico, but only America?

Well, isn't the NBA champs crowned as "World Champions" or something? Typical self-centered.
