Yes, he is. He's elite defensively.

They get less but similar production at 1b for one less year and 44 million less than Santana. S very good deal.

Would much rather have Alonso at that contact than Adams for anything or Santana for his deal. Cleveland come out good here.

His 2nd half was pretty ugly.

He was still 114+ OPS in Seattle after the trade. He'll be playing in a neutral stadium for basically the first time in his career rather than the caverns of Oakland, San Diego, and Seattle. Lineup has tons of protection in it. I think he's going to do well.
