I was 5 years old, and the Cup clincher was one of my earliest hockey memories. I remember running past my uncle’s house the next day holding a huge Habs towel like a flag. He HATED the Habs but he had the biggest smile on his face.

I was too young to fully grasp the significance of a Cup win even though I was ecstatic. This year would be WAY more special on a personal level if we could pull it off.

Well, I don't actually remember that, as the mighty internet didn't exist and we didn't have cable or satellite back then (and I wouldn't have been allowed to stay awake to watch the games anyway). Most likely I was just cheking the scores, and even more so the stats for Selänne and Kurri etc. But yeah, was 12 back then.

"barely aware" as I was only just starting out on my hockey /Habs journey despite being 24 thanks to my investment in a Sega Megadrive & the NHL video game following years of once-a-year Stanley Cup final highlights on the UK's "World Of Sport" programme and avidly following it every Winter Olympics.

I'm a Gen-Xer. I've lived through 8 cups, but barely remember '79. 1986 I remember well as I was still in high school, remember losing 1989 vividly and remember 1993 of course.

While 2010 and 2014 were fun, my best memories in terms of a Cinderella run was 1993 in a way, but it was the Penney-led un in 84 I recall enjoying very much.

I fall in between options 2 and 3. I remember the 93 cup run pretty well, despite being quite young. That would have been either my second year watching hockey.

I can remember watching us beat the Whalers in the previous year's playoffs and learning what playoffs were for the first time.

The next season I had learned so much and watched every game I could from BC.

While alive for the 86 cup, I was far too young to be a fan of anything lol

In 93 I was booking it down highway 10 with two good buddies the minute the final whistle sounded. What a different era. The same amount of partying if not more but no vandalism, no looting, cops and fans celebrating together. IT WAS AWESOME.

I was 5. I remember it, but also don’t really.

My most vivid early hockey memory was the loss that led to the Roy trade. It really set the tone for the years of disappointment to come.

Gulf War 91. We were taking a break after maritime interdiction. The barge had a lounge with one TV. No one else was in there so I started flipping through the channels. There was a Habs’ game on lmao! We are talking satellite in the ME.

I was 22, my buddy had the ugliest green Habs shirt you ever saw. That lucky shirt was out this playoff run as well, it's so torn and beaten.. but it's lucky
