Welcome!

I don't know how much knowledge you have of the English language, but if you know the word "mediocre" you'll know just about all there is to about the Devils (currently).

What else do you want to know?
Hi,

What are the best ways to follow the Devils? Like are there good webpages? Good blogs?

Right now I just try to get a little into it. Where the team is standing right now, what the future plans are, who the good players are, prospects etc.

Tom Gulutti is a local writer that covers most things Devils, he is the most credible source for all things Devils. His blog is fire and ice, the first link and the last link is his twitter page

Do you live locally or are you a long distance fan?

Right now, where at a bit of a crossroads, we have had a lot of success in the past doing things a certain way, but most for those things don't work nearly as well as they used to, but our GM is little stuck in the past

We have too many old players and don't have any "elite" offensive talents after our two best players left, Zach Parise and Ilya Kovalchuk. Parise who left to go home to Minnesota during free agency and Kovalchuk who went home to Russia

One of our best players is Zajac(29 years old), he is our best center and is elite defensively, but has some questions offensively, he used to produce more, but his buddy and favorite winger Parise left as said before

Elias(38 years old) is another one of our best player, he leads in basically every offensive stat for the Devils all time one of the best passers and has great vision, but he is getting up there and we wont have him for long

Another is Jagr(42 years old) His age speaks for itself, but he was the best offensive players the Devils have, he is a legend, i believe 8th in scoring all time

Henrique(24 years old) is the best young forward we have, came up in the cup run in 2012, after most of our centers got injured, struggled early in this season but then scored a bunch of goals in the second half. He is very clutch scored the series winning goals against both Florida and The Rangers

We have tons of good defensive prospects including Jon Merrill, he is looking like the best out of the bunch right now. Adam Larsson, former 4th overall pick, played well in his rookie season, but didn't play great the next season and ever since our buffoon of a coach hasn't let him play through his mistakes. Another is Gelinas, he struggles defensively but has a wicked shot and has great offensive ability

Can show you all about our other prospects

hoped this helped

You're saying this "new" poster isn't so new? :sarcasm:

Would make sense since he refuses to state what his first language is. Perhaps it's nothing but a schtick of his used to fool us.
Well, posts like that are the reasons i dont answer personal questions. Think what you want about it. And i did not give up on Dallas. If you read, read it correctly. Im looking for "my" team and there are a couple teams im interested in (the newest being the devils).

But im not going to respond to stupid posts like that. Like I said, think what you want.

Thanks for the ones who are actually being nice and helping me out.

Thanks a lot!

I'm from Europe what makes it tough to follow any team. But I got some help and ideas already how I can follow a team plus im thinking about buying me gamecenter for the next season.

Yes, Jagr was actually one of the reason I took notice of the Devils. Really like what he is doing, impressing to keep up such a high level for so many years.

Hi guys,

now i am starting to really like the Devils, so i would like to ask some questions.

I red that you guys have some sort of under cap. As far as I understand, with that under cap it is very unrealistic that the Devils will ever win a Stanley Cup again, right?

So is there a chance that this will go away? The Devils would need a new owner who is willing to spend big money for that to happen, right?

What else should a new fan know about the Devils?

Thanks a lot!

here is basic history of the team to start you off… http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com/nhl/nj/njdevils.html

and here you can find all kinds of stats for all the seasons http://www.hockey-reference.com/teams/NJD/

What country are you from exactly?

Also I'm shocked by people who laughs at someone's English, while I'd bet a lot that they can't say 1 foreign word :)

I started to like the Devils like 12-13 years ago, when I was playing NHL 99, NHL 2001 and NHL 2002 I've always chosen Devils. There was obviously no way to watch the games in Poland back then but here I am, some years later ;)

I'd like to help you with your choice but I can't relate to 'picking' favourite team. For me, it came from heart, I simply love watching this team, Devils' style may be boring but if so - I can live with that boredom. Sometimes you ask yourself - when you for example see shift of Gionta-Bernier-Carter line - what's the point of this? But overall following Devils is fun for me and hopefully it could be fun for you as well ;)

If he wouldn't answer what his first language is, I kind of doubt he'll tell you what country he's from.

I really find it odd how a new poster just outright refuses to reveal what his first language is as if it's some kind of National-Security-type secret. I mean what's the big deal? My 2nd language is Greek since my mother and father are from there. See? I have no problem revealing that. :dunno:

Well I stand corrected.

Maybe we can have hidek91 ask him questions for us since he's responding to him. :sarcasm:

Okay so you're from Germany so obviously, your first language(which you've refused to divulge for some reason) is GERMAN.

And that concludes this "investigation".

sheesh....That's all I wanted to know. Ya know?

(oh and please feel free to participate in the other threads, too instead of just here. )

You can be snarky, but we don't call folks and their posts stupid around here. Find a way to reply that isn't a personal insult or don't respond.
