That would be a bad move on the Islanders part. Greiss will be 35 next year and Varlamov will be 32.

They should trade Greiss and train Sorokin as a backup if the AHL is out of the question...he very clearly has starter potential.

Lou sees the success Samsonov Shestyorkin and Georgiev are having. I’m sure he knows that Sorokin can do much of the same. Sorokin will be 25 next year. He’s the islanders best chance right now at a franchise goalie.
