That's a tough one!

Now? Because the guys on the AS team are like super old.

But other than Pronger > Salming, I like the IIHF team more at every position.

Edit: Eh - Ovi over Kharlamov too, I guess, but that's fairly close to me.

Gretzky is such a differentiator for me. I voted group 1

Tretiak vs. Brodeur is a tough one. In one game, give me Tretiak. In a best of 7 series it's a coin toss. A slight edge for IIHF

Lidas vs. Fetisov in one game is clear edge to Fetisov, in series it's a minor edge. Overall edge to IIHF

Pronger vs. Salming is clear edge to NHL and in 7 game series still a clear edge to NHL.

Ovechkin over Kharlamov is a clear but small edge to NHL in one game. In series it's the same. Edge to NHL.

At this point, teams are prettt even to me.

Gretzky vs. Crosby is a very clear edge. No matter one game or series. Two of the best players here, but 99 is just so much better.

McDavid vs. Makarov is edge to NHL. Not as big as some might think, but it's an edge.

So, IIHF in a vacuum for me. Add in that I believe IIHF players to compliment each other bit better and they're my pick. Not by much and of course anything can happen with this caliber teams. But I put my money on IIHF team.
