Jets are stacked at wing, but lacking down the middle, so trading down for a “C” pick would make sense.

Option 1)
OTT: 1OA
WPG: 3OA + 5OA
then...
LAK: 3OA +‘21 3rd
WPG: 2OA

-Pick Byfield at 2OA
-Pick RD Jamie Drysdale or RW Lucas Raymond at 5th

Option 2)
LAK: 1OA
WPG: 2OA + LAK ‘20 2nd + LAK ‘21 2nd + Sean Durzi

-Pick Byfield at 2OA
-Also get a couple 2nd rounders, and a promising RD prospect

I don’t think the Sens would entertain that for half a second. They are far better of with 1 of Stutzle/Byfield and 1 of Byfield/Rossi than just having Lafreniere.

Sens have voted 85% in favour of keeping 3,5 instead of a trade for 1

Ottawa is better off taking two players in the top five than they are combining both of those picks to move up.

Combining the #3 or the #5 with other asset(s) to get the #1 overall could make sense for Ottawa, but not both picks. This is going to be Dorion's default position as well.

I really don’t see Ottawa going for that, neither would LA. They have the choice between Stutzle and Byfield, why would they take that choice away from them for a mere 3rd round pick?

Jets trade Laine+ for Eichel

Lafreniere-Eichel-Ehlers
Connor-Scheifele-Wheeler

That is a sick top 6 but it's not happen. The Jets are at least winning one round. They already won 1st overall too bad it didn't count.

Seems like just taking the player they like is more the Jets style regardless of consensus, like they did with Morrissey and Scheifele.

What's the Jets needs?

Edit: because my thoughts are if you get Kopitar for nothing off your roster. It would make the Jets a Stanley Cup front runner.

Good player and more so very good career......but I can't see anyone trading 1OA++ (especially in a good draft year) for anyone who is going to 33 years old & almost 1100 NHL games on his tires before the season starts......regardless how much you retain.

Even if that plus is someone like Little?
