Indifferent, tbqh. The Hawks won it in 2013, but I wouldn't remotely say that doing so made that Cup win more special than 2010 or 2015 (albeit I believe the '13 Hawks could mop the floor with the other two).

We could have a conversation on how we should put more emphasis on having the best record in the league as a grander accomplishment, but until then nobody really views it as a big deal. Winning the Cup is the goal, and a Presidents' Trophy is just a cherry on top quickly forgotten. Meanwhile, it makes failing to win the Cup feel more bitter than otherwise, imho.

The Hawks’ regular season record in 2013 factors heavily into their ranking as one of the best teams of all-time. They’re one of the teams that you actually can see where the regular season mattered to how they were remembered.

My team doesn't compete for the President's Trophy since they don't play in the NHL, but I wanna see them win 100% of the games and trophies they compete for. I get happy when they win a pre-season game and it pisses me off if they lose. Same thing with the regular season. Same thing with the playoffs. Sure, winning the championship in the end means absolutely the most, but that doesn't take away from my constant wish for my team to be better than every other team in every damn situation.

Yes, but only because that guarantees we finish 1st in the Central and let the Starts and Avs battle it out in round 1.

Home ice and lower teams is an advantage. So you definitely want them to do it rather than not do it. But you don’t want them to play your starter too much or increase your stars’ ice time in order to do it

Sure, why not? Who doesn't like watching their team win more games?

It's no Stanley, but still kind of neat.

2013 run is why I voted option 3. It wasn't an issue for the Blackhawks, because they had a solid lead, but the win/points streak they had makes me not want a team to push for it. After the pts streak was over, Q & some players talked about playing with pressure/through injuries they did to keep that alive. You want your team to play that way in the playoffs, but you don't want too much of that to end the season.

The Hawks were close but didn't win in 2010, I have no recollection of caring at all if that they didn't win it even before the cup-win.
