I read that Montreal and Toronto are two of the teams on his no trade list.

I could be wrong though.

We dont know what the ask was to protect him. If it was just 28 Id be willing to bet hed be protected..

Yea looks like they might have asked for their 2018 1st, i remember hearing Ottawa didn't wanna move their 1st for Methot tho. No detail on whether or not it's their 2017 or 2018 1st.

If Ottawa made a deal with Vegas to keep Methot they would have told them who to pick (or they would have given them a list of players to choose from), that's usually how it works.

Buffalo: Methot + 3rd for 2x2nds and Gorges

Dallas: 29th overall for Methot.

Avs: Methot for their 2nd and a decent prospect

Devils: Methot + 3rd for the rights to Kovalchuk + a 2nd

From what I heard in conversation with an ISS regional scout, the Sens were given two offers:

Not taking Methot
for
28th, Chlapik
- at which point they would most likely take Claesson

OR

Agreeing to take Borowiecki
for
47th, White

if mods want I can provide proof that I was told this by an ISS regional scout. That said, he is far from an ironclad source. He hears a lot and not all of it turns out to be accurate.
