Do you play Phillips so he has a chance to get his name on the Stanley Cup?

Same goes for Neil too i guess...

Edit...This thread is not jinx. I went to a voodoo specialist and sacrificed a goat to the gods and was assured there would be no jinx. Happy?

Without a doubt!

Wouldnt you torch Cameron if he gave Phillips some games for sentimental reason when we likely would be scratching better players to play him?

Phillips hasnt played in months. I doubt hes sharp.

I mean say we scratch Wier for Phillips and Phillips gets victimizes twice in one game and we lose the game because of his misplays

I believe you get you name on the cup if you played more than 25 games in the season but I may be mistaken.

This thread is premature.

Also, the team can lobby to have a guys name on the cup even if he doesn't meet the criteria (I believe Marc Savard has his name on the cup) so the Sens would certainly push for Phillips and Neil to be on there as well.

I'd be pissed at the league if they didn't let them both get their names on it. It's not like they were guys called up for 10 games in October and never seen from again, also considering they're both A's (when they play), so that should count for something.

Heres an article
http://thehockeywriters.com/which-los-angeles-kings-players-will-be-left-off-the-stanley-cup/

Also i dont believe in jinx. If it happens it happens if it doesnt it doesnt. It wasnt written in the stars and i somehow screwed it up by making a thread about what might happen if we make it.

To be automatic. Phillips needs 52 in the season or 1 finals game. anything below that means the Senators would have to appeal

Westgarth and Drewise both got their names on the cup for less then 50 games played. Several other players did not get on the cup though

Andrei Loktionov who played more then the other two did not get his name on the cup though. Vet Ethan Moreau was also not allowed to get his name on the cup despite playing only a few less games then Phillips

I guess I just have a hard time seeing the NHL "block" Phillips and Neil from getting their names on the cup if it gets to that point. We're not talking about Matt Puempel here, these guys have both played 1000+ games with the same team and wear a letter when healthy.

Only if it gives us the best chance of winning.

If the team is healthy and everyone is rolling then no, don't just put them in the line up so they can get their names on the cup

Delete this thread because the words of message board posters sitting around in their underwear and eating cheezies while writing has a real impact on hockey outcomes.

The other alternative is to chill. Yes, this thread is premature. But, there is no such thing as jinxes.
