That's not reality.

The RR bid seems a lot more grounded. "We're going to reconnect with the local community, lean into the small-market us-against-the-world mentality (see: Wrexham), have a good hockey team and sell a bunch of condos".

Much more realistic.

That's a lovely statement. But owning the Ottawa Senators would have zero impact on making hockey more affordable for kids. Nor does Snoop Dogg really have any knowledge of the challenges/hurdles facing low-income families in Ottawa, Canada, or expertise in helping solve them.

That's kind of my point. This group seems to have all these grandiose visions about technology and equality and all that jazz... when in reality... this is a pro hockey team in a small market.
