Do the Kings want Iafallo back? I am amazed he always paced for around 45 points with the Kings every season when he doesn't seem to have that type of offensive ability in the Jets system. Still a useful player esp on the defensive side but doesn't seem to fit with how the Jets generate offense.

Kings get Iafallo back and regain some depth and a player who fits well with their system. What would the offer be? Something around Kaliyev who seems to be in the doghouse?

Id sooner keep Iafallo there friend. He has great utility for the team and is a dependable piece piece on all four lines. I get that he isn't a profile scorer, but his style generates giveaways and mistakes by teams. He is a high pressure player in a defensively high pressure system so he really does fit the team quite well I think:dunno:

No, 4 million for a defensive specialist that got burned by bottom six player in the Playoffs.

Edit: Probably get Kaliyev for picks at this point. Stanley maybe so King's can bench another D.

And the coaching staff loves him.

Iafallo may end up getting squeezed out cap wise next year the same way he did with LA. But I think bringing in good defensive forwards has shown its value in the win column this year. Cant see any world the Jets look to move him this spring. He is a great utility guy.

Him being on the 4th line if the team is healthy is exactly the kind of depth the Jets need.

Close this iafallo is getting traded. Plays up and down the line up even top 6 with injuries shorthand pp. Unbelievable.

Being defensively is well and good but you gotta score a bit or atleast generate something. It's not just that chances are not going in, it's that not much is being generated with him out there.

He definitely plays up and down the lineup... but only seems to produce when on the top line.

That's what we thought.

He had 3 goals in 6 games and was one of only 5 + players on the Kings last year, led all Kings in GF% (f***ing 75%) and 3rd in xGF% (55.34) in a sad losing effort.

He brings character, checking, stability, and good to great depth scoring. He's exactly what winning teams have. Not his fault guys getting paid 2-3x as much as him were getting their faces kicked in.

6 PIM against a team that was 75%? On the PP. Absolute killer against bottom 6 competition.

Iafallo does things. But for the things he does, he's a bit overpaid, cap hit-wise. I believe the front office didn't want to get rid of him or Vilardi but they had both in the playoffs and still lost to Edmonton first round...I mean even Quick was unloaded as a cap dump. And you have to give to get.

He's a pain in the butt come playoff time as is Vilardi. As an oilers fan I was happy to see both of them off the Kings for much heralded playoff performer PLD lol

I'm not even sure if Kings fans would do an Iafallo for Dubois trade straight up last year, let alone throw in Villardi and Kupari.

How about Vilardi+Iafallo for PL Dubois, a premiere two way 6'4 Center in the prime of his career? :naughty:

:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:
Why not ask us to add Kupari and a 2nd on top of that…. geeze :naughty: :sarcasm:

He should be gone in the offseason regardless… need his cap space and his roster spot
