He just signed a 4 x 4 year deal and is on pace for a career year. 50pt 2-way winger that this team needs. The vets and coach love him. It will have to be an overpayment and a justified one to move him. Don't think this deals does it at all.

Can't lie he's had a disappointing season so far after being on pace for around 45 points last season but calling him a bust is a bit much. A 22 year old probably a 30-35 point 2nd/3rd line player who gets pretty much zero pp time I wouldn't call a bust.

Just saying calling him a bust is not accurate. Disappointing season sure (even though we are only 38 games into the season) but should we forget he was on pace for 45 points last year all at even strength by the way?

No thanks, the Kings have zero desire to move Iafallo unless its the kind of overpayment no team will offer. He is a cornerstone for the franchise.

A 28 year old player who may clip 20 goals for the first time in his five year career is a "cornerstone for the franchise?"

Does he have Toews-like intangibles?

Iafallo is so underrated...he does everything, fits everywhere, isn't a star offensively but efficiently fits with other guys and is super excellent defensively. There's no way the Kings would deal him to take a stab at Chytil's theoretical upside. He's starting to enter that Hyman-level role player to bigger talents but indisputably super-valuable stage - except that he's not massively overpaid.

Where does Chytil fit in with LA's center depth?

Kopitar
Danault
Byfield
Turcotte
Kupari
Vilardi
Helenius
Pinelli
Anderson-Dolan
Thomas
Lizotte

We already traded a second-round pick for another Rangers prospect in Andersson, not super interested in doing it again (except this time sending out one of our best forwards).

Why would we trade him for a guy who may eclipse 23 points for the first time in his five year career? Iafallo is likely to have as many goals as Chytil points.

See we can play stupid too. You know better.

Really the thing is, as been described, the last thing we need is another C, and Iafallo is a valuable player to the Kings for his motor, points, leadership, and all around value as one of the only NHL-experienced natural wings we have.

Exactly, he's a top-six swiss army knife. Perfect complementary winger.

Reality is if he were in the other coasts time zone he'd be getting compared to Anthony Cirelli.

where was he drafted???. He’d be a success if he was a 4th or later…..but he’s not.

Honestly not sure what qualifies a late first as a success but the posts I made were in regard to calling him a bust nothing more nothing less.

Doesn't matter,he isn't available for trade.

He wouldn't fit on my team, he'd be far down the depth chart.

The bold makes sense.

no
while both are quality Chytil is our 2C rock after Strome is dealt, and Strome has to go, math sez so.
Only ? is is we are smart and get a good piece or 2 back for him in trade
or
if we are stupid and self rent and then he does a Tavares and walks for nada

not seeing a 2C rock out of chytil at this point, but i also didn't see the boo nieves hype either.
