Marleau - Matthews - Nylander. (elite scoring line)
Kapanen - Bozak - Marner (legit NHL 1st line. Kapanen makes that line above average defensively.)
Brown - Kadri - Leivo( great shutdown line with lots of offense.)
Hyman - Aaltonen/Moore - Fehr. (great 4th line)

***JVR traded for 1st+ or tanev type***
I actually think this team would be better without JVR.

Defense depends if we get a good return on JVR or not. I'm not qualified to speculate on that ;)

Gardiner-Zaitsev
Rielly -hainsey/trade return
Carrick - the Borg.

I do think those forward lines are incredible.

Leivo - Matthews - Nylander
Marleau - Bozak - Marner
Komarov - Kadri - Brown
Hyman - Aaltonen - Kapanen
Johnsson, Moore

Rielly - Hainsey
Gardiner - Zaitsev
Borgman - Carrick
Marincin

Andersen
McBackup

JVR traded for assets that can then try to be parlayed to help the team. For now they remain in our possession as futures. Johnsson as an extra forward because I wanted to forget the reality that he's probably better getting AHL ice time and that he may not see a second of NHL ice time this year

I really like your lineup OP. Only difference is I would have Kappy in the top 9 and drop Komorav to the 4th line.

1) Leivo - Matthews - Nylander - This is good. I was really tempted to put Kapanen here. He had chemistry with Nylander in the AHL.
2) JVR - Kadri - Marner (I agree with this as well. What a line...)
3) Marleau - Bozak - Kapanen (I'm switching Komorav and Kapanen)
4) Hyman - Komorav - Brown (Best 4th line for sure)

1) Reilly - Tanev (Would love Tanev)
2) Gardiner - Zaitsev (Yes Gardiner is slow in his interviews like Phaneuf. It's like the slower they are in interviews the slower they are with making decisions on the ice as well)
3) Dermott - Hainsey

Ideally for me?

Marleau - Matthews - Marner
JVR - Kadri - Brown
Leivo - Nylander - Kapanen (switch this around if you'd like)
Hyman - Moore - Komarov

That first line is like a faster, far better version of Marner's London line (replace Tkachuk's physicality with speed in Marleau and Matthews is >>>>>> Dvorak)

Second line has a good defensive duo in Kadri and Brown who work hard and are good defensively while having JVR to add scoring.

Third line feasts on match-ups and has speed to burn since the first line will be taking the hardest match-ups.

4th line is by far the hardest working line and faces opposing teams second lines if they have good depth. Can match-up against opposing first lines due to Hyman+Komarov.

I believe this lineup would be a contender now and for years to come. Its only some minor tweaks as well

Kapanen-Matthews-Nylander
JVR-Bozak-Marner
Marleau-Kadri-Brown
Komarov-Aaltonen-Hyman
Leivo-Martin

Rielly-Carlo (Draft Carlo instead of Dermott)
Gardiner-Zaitsev
Borgman-Carrick
Hainsey

Andersen
Condon (Sign Condon instead of Mcelhienny)
