What happens if a rookie, on a contending team close to the Salary cap limit, has an outstanding season and wins the Calder. How will the bonusses will be paid if they go over the Cap? If this has been discussed already, I apologise.

What happens if a rookie, on a contending team close to the Salary cap limit, has an outstanding season and wins the Calder. How will the bonusses will be paid if they go over the Cap? If this has been discussed already, I apologise.

Team paid bonuses are inclusive to the cap. Every contract is counted to its maximum. And league paid bonuses, like a cash award for winning Calder, are paid out seperately and not inclusive to cap. Simple as that.
