What is this crap?

CAR most likely to trade their high pick to pick up a Hayes or Anathasiou? Where'd you get that BS?

From the Waddell's mouth-if #2 is traded, it will be for a offer CAR can't refuse. The Detroit or Ranger pick plus one of Hayes or Anathasiou doesn't come close to an offer CAR can't refuse.

This. Why. Why would they do that.

I really don't think we're going to see this fire sale teardown people are expecting.

I'm sure they'll make a statement move or two -- they could definitely use some upgrades, and some of their core has gone stale -- but I doubt they'll be as active in selling as some are assuming.

it would take larkin from detroit to even entertain them the second overall pick, something they arent willing to trade. then it is Chytil to at least to entertain + their firsts (Both teams) for canes management to even consider thats not including the other +'s. Yes lindholm is expendable but he isn't cheap, we found out that he plays better at center this season and hopefully they will keep him there this season. Skinner isn't getting moved for anything less than a first and a really good prospect, unless its a one for one deal like Simmonds for Skinner.

Carolina, the team needing high-end offensive talent, is going to trade the #2 pick (Svechnikov) for Kevin Hayes and #9OA (where'd they maybe take one of Dobson, Hughes or Boqvist ... you know, defensemen).

Please explain how that makes any amount of sense?

I dunno. Are any of them a LHD?

We could really use another LHD.

Funny, because I'd think if any pieces are traded, it would be Skinner and Faulk. Not sure why Lindholm or the 2nd would be considered at all. They will trade niether, they'll get Svechnikov to add to the group up front, maybe move Skinner and Faulk for different parts (not downgrades, maybe futures, and neither player will be moved for pennies on the dollar). That's all.

honestly the article is pretty disappointing. quite lacking in insight, particularly for anyone who already pays a bit of attention to the Canes. don't use the qualifier "clearly" for things that are not at all clear! it's not a useful persuasive tool and it's bad writing!

Sigh. Just take it all, every last draft pick, every last man-jack, give us old dudes and random spare parts for them, tell us we're lucky to get them, mason dixon line sux, the team is moving to Houston, etc.

This site is really tedious and pedantic with any and all things involving the Hurricanes.

It's the same for every small market team.
Shit will be offered, but you just comment on it and move on, while they whine and propose farm players for your top-4 defensemen.
