Or is 3 years not enough time between the teen watching the Cup and the tailgate?
Now I'm completely confusing myself over this well done ad.
Ok, let’s see if we can nail this down.
First clip is 1997, kid looks maybe 8 or so? Let’s call it 9 for the sake of the next clip.
Second clip is 1999, kid looks more like 11.
Third clip is 2002, kid hasn’t really aged. That’s kind of ok if he’s about 13-14, some kids are late bloomers. But he’s also wearing a Redvolution era jersey (2013) for some reason. Kind of a weird lack of continuity on multiple levels here.
Fourth is 2006, kid looks around 18 which is consistent with where we have been so far.
Tailgate clip, I’m assuming 2009 even though nothing signals that. He would be about 21 and about to get legally hammered at a game for the first time when he spots his future wife.
Baby clip is 2019, so now he’s around 31 and the baby is under a year old.
Final clip, if in 2022, means the girl is 3-4 whereas she looks around 6 or 7. We can make this make sense by assuming the clip happens in the future around 2024-25. This clip shows them on opening night, about to see Sebastian Aho’s first game as a Montreal Canadien.
So all of this makes sense except for the street hockey clip. The only reasonable explanation involves time travel.
