How to transform player statistics from other sports to ice-hockey

For example, Lionel Messi (soccer spanish La Liga), season 2011/2012. Messi scored like never seen before, had 50 goals in only 37 games. How could we transform it into NHL season?

Or NBA, Wilt Chamberlain's 100-point game in 1962.

Lets create some formula, that we could use for this.

I would attempt to find some sort of "pack" and translate.Really not familiar with soccer, perhaps find the average of the 3rd-10th scorers or something like that, then do the same for hockey, then adjust the numbers based on that.This is really on top of my head, not sure if it would work nicely.

Or you could produce a VsX for soccer.

I have also wondered ways in which we could do this. Would be cool to figure out who is the most dominant athlete on the planet kind of thing
