This is not about how ratio between salary / goals scored by some player. This is just a hypothetical thread about how much is a goal worth in NHL overall. Or lets split it to regular season and playoffs.

Is there any mathematical method, that could say the cost of one goal?

Strange question, in a way....

1271 games. About 6 goals/gm.
Maybe 7500 goals scored in the course of the season.

Player salaries are about 2.2B, from 50% of HRR.

Rough math....
300K per goal.

But how much do you pay to prevent one?
