Depends. Are Messier and Kurri staying too? If Kurri and Mess stayed as well, I don't think 7 or 8 are out of reach. They likely could have gotten by Minnesota and in the conference finals in 1991, and would have had a good chance at taking out Chicago in 1992, and then it comes down to Mario's Penguins vs Wayne's Oilers in those years. 93 is a tough call, as the Oilers were falling apart and no longer a playoff team, but if they still had Gretzky, they likely wouldn't be in that much of a free fall, but its unlikely that you could say the Oilers had enough depth left to reamain a contender. Although LA and Montreal both weren't world beaters in the finals, so if other teams managed to get there instead, who knows what might have happened.

My hot take of the day - if Gretzky never left the Oilers, the Leafs win the cup in 1993.

Ok, not really, I still Montreal would have beaten them, ha ha.

2 more than they already did considering they made the conference finals twice after most of the core was gone.

It’s crazy that Edmonton won in 1990 with no Gretzky, Coffey and fuhr as the backup. Really says a lot about how well built the oilers teams were in the 80’s. It just wasn’t Gretzky and Coffey and friends

I voted 4 since I think the Oilers would still have to sell off players as the years went by

Five, assuming that they still win 1990 even with Gretzky. The team had already reached its zenith when he left and was going to decline anyway.

With Gretzky and Messier still there probably another two. Would have been amazing to see them play Pittsburgh in 92' in the finals if they still had Gretzky and Messier at that time.
