Robert's triple O.T. goal. With the camera catching Redden appearing to be picking his nose on the bench. lol

Good grief I wish I had your ability to apparently block out ****** memories.

We've had several crushing OT losses in the playoffs. Sundin, Pominville, PLante, Dupuis.

I guess I'm just having a good day

The memories are coming back now and I wish they weren't

Here are the overtime winners. You guys should all remember the circumstances:

97 - Alfie
98 - Gardiner
98 - Yashin
02 - Havlat
03 - White
03 - Redden
03 - Van Allen
03 - Phillips
04 - Fisher
07 - Corvo
07 - Alfredsson
10 - Carkner
12 - Neil
12 - Turris
13 - Turris
13 - Greening

The Sens have won 4 overtime games in a row, and 7 of the last 8, which is why the losses are easier to forget.

Edit: I thought Kyle Turris scored an OT goal for the Coyotes, but nope. They were swept.

98 - Buffalo - Satan - Round 1, Game 2 (2OT)
99 - Toronto - Thomas - Round 1, Game 5
00 - Toronto - Sundin - Round 1, Game 1
00 - Toronto - Cross - Round 1, Game 3

I think that you're off by a year for each of these. Ottawa didn't play Buffalo in 98 (they beat NJ and lost to Wash). They didn't play Toronto in 99 (they lost to Buffalo). And I'm quite certain that Sundin's OT winner came when they swept us in 01.

The OT losses were prophesied by Hasek earlier in the year. Sens were always losing one goal games and he called them out on them saying the team was mentally weak at them.

He was right.

I was present for the Van Allen goal in 03, the Drury goal in 06 (grumble), and the Turris goal in 13.

EDIT: You know what? I may have also been there for the Pominville goal. I guess my efforts to successfully block that out may have been successful.

Easy favorite is the Van Allen goal though.

Still can't believe how weak Alfredsson played that. Brutal.

Yep I remember that clear as day.

That is when the rumblings of getting rid of Alfie hit the peak. He made up for it in the 07 playoffs and shut the doubters up.

The thing about Alfie is he should never have been on the point for the powerplay. Particularly in a playoff game. Maybe during the regular season, or during a 5 on 3 or something but putting him on the point wasn't our coaches best choice imo.

I was sick as a dog for this one, throwing up every 15 minutes, but I'll be damned if I was going to miss that game. So disappointing.

97 - Buffalo - Plante - Round 1, Game 7 (Eliminated)

Urgh. I was 10. Cried myself to sleep.

I was at the Turris NYR OT goal though... that was epic.

This thread is full of pain and dismay.

I'd like to see our team win a game 7, we have yet to do that in this era.

Thanks, you have it right.

I've seen both home overtime elimination goals live. :(
