didn't mention this but i was taking for granted that, of course, Leon gets signed :D, plus Pitlick and Kassian will likely be re-signed too. all 3 are RFA's.

RFA's after this season are....

Mitch Moroz-Qualified
Joey LaLeggia-Gone
Jordan Oesterle-Gone
David Musil-Gone

Anton Lander-Qualified, possibly goes to Europe
Iiro Pakarinen-Qualified
Taylor Back-Qualified
Bogdan Yakimov-Qualified, stays in Europe

Dillon Simpson-Qualified
Griffin Reinhart-Qualified
Jere Sallinen-Gone
Zach Pochiro-Gone
Eetu Laurikainen-Qualified, possibly goes to Europe

thoughts? :x):

LaLeggia going might surprise some people, but with Jones, Bear and possibly Paigin making the jump to the AHL next season the blueline will likely be crowded and all three of those players have a bigger chance at becoming NHL regulars IMO. If Lander becomes a regular down the stretch this season he'll be back, if he's stuck in the AHL he'll head to Europe. Laurikainen will be an interesting one, would seem like the plan is to have Talbot and LB in Edmonton next season, with Ellis as the starter in Bakersfield so there is a spot there.

Id move on from Musil and Reinhart. Id keep Laleggia and Osterle before either. We have Benning/Nurse/Larsson/Davidson evern Gryba. We are set for defensive D. We have lack of offense

Explain yourself.

He seems like a popular guy in Bakersfield. Fills a tough guy need down there. Considering their scorched Earth forward corps this year, I can see the Oilers giving him an extra year.

problem is that i'm not so sure that Reinhart isn't being groomed to take Gryba's spot next year with Gryba being a UFA. not sure the Oilers will re-sign this guy?
