How does Linden Vey look so far?

Vey needs to learn to play pesky, annoyingly-tight defense, like the better defensive small NHL FWs do (frustrating opponents and drawing penalties). Once he can do that, he will displace Fraser as 4th line C. But there is another Monarch who could possibly surpass Vey over the next year or so.

I wonder if Jordan Weal has a style (and temperament) that is naturally closer to what is described above (defensive pest).
He is quite talented, and even faster than Vey (although 2 inches and 10 lbs smaller). I've heard he can be pretty gonzo on the checking part of the game---Really throwing himself at bigger players and going all-out physically and not just trying to be a straight finesse guy.

But, enough OT.
Weal deserves his own thread.

Vey has got to be better in his own zone, both with and without the puck. And as discussed earlier, he must keep working on his shot, and learn to shoot more.

Any aggression Vey can add to his game is desirable.

A black belt in Karate wouldn't hurt.
