Kings need a big nasty LHD on the bottom pair replacing Edler.
Bring him back as the 14th forward/7D spot. We need to protect Clarke at all costs.

Having traded for Gavrikov I expect the Kings to sign him along with Korpisalo! And for Clarke to start in the AHL and then be quickly elevated! I also see the Kings trading some of the Forwards in Ontario that aren't waiver exempt. In LA, Edler and Walker will end up elsewhere! LA has a decision to make with Bjornfot, will he stay or go! He's a good young D-man!Personally I'd also send Lizotte and Moore somewhere else to give the Kings some Cap breathing room and because they can be easily replaced in the line up! Vilardi will need to be signed as will Kupari and JAD so...

It was an idea. I didn't say it was a good idea.

The forwards will not look very different, but the back end should. Trade Durzi for a 2nd, try to trade Walker for anything. If Blake can't trade Walker, he can be bought out. Sign Gavrikov or Soucy, sign Vilardi and Kupari and call it a day. The team easily cruised to a playoff spot and challenged for the division and conference this season.

Kaliyev-Kopitar-Kempe
Moore-Danault-Arvidsson
Fiala-Byfield-Vilardi
Iafallo-Lizotte-Kupari/Grundstrom
Kupari/Grundstrom/JAD

Anderson-Doughty
Gavrikov/Soucy-Roy
Bjornfot/Spence-Clarke
Bjornfot/Spence

Copley-Petersen

Beside the roster, the Kings have to bring in a competent penalty killing coach. This is probably the most important change. Ride the Pheonix!

I don't think this works cap wise.

Clearing Walker+Durzi probably won't be enough if you're signing one of Gavrikov/Soucey.

One of Moore/Iafallo/Arvidsson/Roy would likely have to go.

How much did you think Gavrikov or Soucy was gonna cost? Like $8 million?!?!
