I'm confused as to what the top nine is for tonight. Anyone reading Chip's tweets better than I am.

520/1520. Though I've got nothing on 1520 and I thought 520 was the special events channel. I know TWC has SportsSouth on some channel though.

I do not believe TWC in Raleigh carries SportsSouth regularly. But 520 is a "special events" channel they use for Bobcats games and other conflicts.

Any SportsSouth game should be on 520 or 1520 in the Triangle. But don't expect other SportsSouth programming to be there if you want that.

Most likely these lines tweeted by Michael Smith:

Bowman-E. Staal-Semin
Tlusty-J. Staal-LaRose
Skinner-Jokinen-Dwyer
Welsh-Brent-Westgarth

Gleason-Faulk
Pitkanen-Sanguinetti
Harrison-Corvo

Ward will start in the net

First PP:
E. Staal-J. Staal-Semin
Skinner-Pitkanen

Second PP:
Tlusty-Jokinen-LaRose
Corvo-Faulk

Well, he's ruled out Dalpe and Boychuk, so I'd say the lines may be something like:

Bowman-Staal-Semin
Skinner-Staal-LaRose
Tlusty-Jokinen-Dwyer
Westgarth-Brent-Welsh

Something like that.

^Beaten. Damn. But not exactly the same.

Scratch all I just said. Sorry. Oenatzu's right.

Eric Staal will have Semin and Drayson Bowman on his wings. Jordan Staal will center Jiril Tlusty and Chad LaRose, and Jussi Jokinen will center Jeff Skinner and Pat Dwyer.

Skinner at the point is a massive waste imo. The only forward I feel confident there is EStaal where he can use his slapshot. And I'd also say they should switch Faulk and Corvo to set up Faulk's one-timer. When Faulk got all of his PP goals last year, I'm pretty sure it was from a play with him sneaking down the left side.

Stacked 1st PP but really weak 2nd unit

I actually don't think it's that bad. Corvo and Faulk have bombs from the point, which gives Larose some rebounds to chase in front of the net, but Tlusty has a good enough shot that he can make the other team pay if they just focus on point shots. Jokinen obviously will be setting guys up from the half-boards.

Skinner makes no sense as a point man. Putting him back there emphasizes his weaknesses and negates his strengths. I really hope that is some kind of typo.

You're right about Faulk on that off-side one-timer.

I'd guess that Skinner and Eric will be both playing at half wall with Pitkanen as the lone pointman. Semin in the middle and Jordan in the crease. They used this kind of formation against Florida.

And by the way, Smith only listed the guys that were working on the PP. Those formations I listed were purely my speculation that I put zero thought in

Ah I'm in Greensboro, and I figured TWC was relatively the same in Raleigh. My parents have DirecTV and I remember them not having SportsSouth, though that could have been hidden in one of the Sports packages. For anyone else in the Triad with TWC, the games are on 520 (SD) and 1510 (HD).
