Good point.

Maybe tape delay?

Tape delay in this age of the internet is literally pointless.

Tape Delay is a four-letter word. :sarcasm:

I was upset when I learned that some 2010 Olympic hockey games on NBC would be tape delayed in California.

I stayed away from the internet and then started watching a later game "live" (on one of the cable stations) and of course one of the first things they did was recap that previous game.

I was livid and expressed my complaints to local NBC station, NBC corporate, NBC Olympic feedback, twitter, etc.

The second and third Olympic hockey games on NBC were live. So, my complaints were heard and heeded. (And probably others.)

Or just have a west coast game that starts at 12:30-1:00 LT. I really have no idea how NBC hasn't clued into this yet...

Because that's not the time slot NBC wants. At 12:30, the NHL is top dog.

I'd imagine Dave Strader will be in there somewhere

I find it odd that I live near the US border....and travel to the US quite often...yet I don't know when "HDIA" is.

When is it?

Will it be anywhere close to CBC's version in Canada?

No.

It's a marketing ploy. Something for NBC to sell.

EDIT: guess I really didn't answer your question

Sunday.

No.

Not exactly true. USA Hockey started it four or five years ago around this weekend every year to market the game. The NHL jumped on board after that, and NBC never really pushed until this year -- I think they mentioned it on the "Game of the Week" in the past, but never hyped it like they are now.

I'll take it. Marketing the game? :handclap: At all levels?? :handclap:

What a novel concept. :sarcasm:

HNIC: Post-Game Show - 9:30 p.m. (guess this must be an NHLN run post game show,
as the HNIC post game show doesn't start til 12:30am ET or so...)

Most of the time, the early HNIC game ends after 9:30 pm ET and
before the start of the late HNIC game at 10:00 pm ET so CBC goes
to the studio to fill that time and thus they do what could be called
a post-game show as its after the early HNIC game. NHL Network in
the United States shows this up until 10:00 pm ET when they then
go to their NHL On The Fly show.

LS...
