Vote :edmonton over :flames!

The Flames have a better top line and 3rd line. We're better everywhere else.

Svech - Barkov - Tank > Schwartz - Bergeron - Larkin
Hyman - ROR - Coleman < Fiala - Scheifele - Bjorkstrand
Laf - Karlsson - Killor > Toffoli - Duchene - Eberle
Sanford - Staal - Nuke < Niderreiter - Henrique - Kase

Theodore - Spurgeon < Slavin - McAvoy
Dumoulin - Niskanen < Chychrun - Letang
Cole - Myers < Graves - Severson

Kuemper < Bishop
Khudobin < Raanta

@m0pe, how 'bout another change of vote?

I voted Calgary because I felt they'd stymie your offence basically all together and matchup against you pretty hard, even though Edmonton is the better team overall

My top line would shut his down, and then I think my more skilled bottom-9 would be provide depth scoring that he couldn't get, especially considering my superior defense and goaltending.

Kuemper = Bishop to me tbh
Theodore is the best dman in the matchup, I prefer his blueline outside of your second pair
Your offence is where I'm conflicted, I just felt like his top line would be too much for yours.

I can be convinced though. I vote based on matchups btw not just better team, since that's what it's about. i.e. Dallas is a top 3 team for me... but Arizona was #4.

Theodore is better than Slavin and McAvoy?

In my opinion:

Slavin > Theodore
McAvoy > Spurgeon
Letang > Dumoulin
Chychrun > Niskanen
Severson > Myers
Graves > Cole

I see Theodore as #7 Dman in the whole league this year and improving next year if I'm being honest. The guy had a Norris year this year and no one acknowledges it:

  1. Hedman
  2. Josi
  3. Pietrangelo
  4. Jones
  5. Hamilton
  6. Carlson
  7. Theodore
And I could put him #5 on my list if I really wanted to, 5-7 are fluid for me

I agree Theo's underrated, but Slavin's just a much better shutdown defensemen. Regardless, the rest of the D matchups are in my favour.

I just have Slavin a tier below, if not for Spurgeon I'd give it to you but Spurgeon himself is excellent at shut down hockey

It's close

Actually yeah I'll flip for now

@m0pe, how 'bout another change of vote?

Ill do some debating.

My second line is an absolute nightmare to play against. It would matchup well against even your 1st line. Duchene and Henrique are weak centers in the 16 teams format I feel. Also you have a lot of players out of position.

My defense is better at generating offense and is supported by three Selke level centers. Bishop and Kuemper is the same.

Duchene is okay, Henrique is also fine as 4C just unspectacular

I do prefer your Cs tho
