Confirmed with Link: Hired Adam Nightingale as an assistant coach/video

[Mister Ed]

A native of Cheboygan, Nightingale played two seasons for Lake Superior State and two seasons for Michigan State before a four-year ECHL professional career with the Gwinnett Gladiators, Greenville Grrrowl and Charlotte Checkers.

Nightingale was working for the Buffalo Sabres as a video coach; prior to joining that NHL franchise, he was a head coach at Shattuck-St. Mary’s.

Does anybody know if this move is to replace former staff, or to supplement current personnel? The article didn't say. (I'm just curious if this is more growth than turnover, or vice versa.)

He replaces David Noël-Bernier (at least I thnk, can't imagine having 2 video coaches).

Who said he was fired by the Sabres? I think it more likely he got a promotion from video coach to assistant coach/video guy which allowed us to hire him away. Calling him a cast off is like says he hired Babcock as a castoff from Anaheim back in the day.

You can't just say babs is babs before he even came to Detroit. That doesn't make any sense. He got lucky with giguere. And then missed the playoffs pretty badly
