I usually compare things to sports because I'm a big football and hockey fan. So, I've made up this analogy:

How high school is like college football and junior hockey:

Most people do well in high school, so the parents and faculty of the school predict the same success in college if they continue on the right path of working hard. Now, as you can see in the real world, not all high school graduates are cut out for college, (which compares to the the NFL/NHL).

So, this means that high school compares to college football/hockey or junior level hockey level.

- Some people go to a university or private school and live on or off campus (which compares to the NFL/NHL)

- Some people go to a community college and commute (which compares to the minor leagues)

- Some people take a break before going to college (which compares to free agency)

- Some people just start working right after high school (which compares to getting a real job without a degree)

So, what do you think of my analogy?
