I also just realized that literally only one prospect in the whole system has been acquired via trade (Heatherington). Nill really is stingy as f*** when it comes to moving prospects.

How does any in North America even know anything reliable about the European prospects at this point

All you need to know is Stenqvist is good enough for Liiga while Douglas won't get an NHL contract and will go play CIS.

Doesn't take much brain power to rank one higher than the other.

Good enough for the Liiga, just like Ruusu, Karjalainen, Makela, & Kiviaho to name a few Stars prospects who were/are good enough to play in that league. Not to mention Stenqvist hasn't even had a shift there yet so who knows if he's good enough to play there.

Ranking Stenqvist above Douglas is fine, but your reasoning is pretty silly.

Ranking Stenqvist above Douglas is fine, but your reasoning is pretty silly.

It's a perfectly good reason. Douglas won't even be in the system after this year.. so ranking him is a waste of a pick.
