Benson for me because I think he'll be a quality NHLer with his work ethic and hockey IQ.

Reinhart next, followed by Paigin because I want to go with a high boom/bust pick for one of my choices and imo his size, skating, and offensive numbers last year make for one of the most interesting packages in our prospect pool.

I know its hindsight and theres almost 0% chance we actually would have selected these players, but imagine if we had picked Kyle Connor with 16 and Sebastian Aho with 33 instead of making that trade. Woof.

I too believe Benson has the highest upside. Although he kind of looks like that cool early 30s teacher in high school that you see at a bar when you're old enough to drink. Might be closer to retiring than being our #3 prospect... hahaha

Reinhart.

Let's see Benson play healthy first before we hype the **** out of him.

If Reinhart, a potential bottom pairing D prospect is our #3 best prospect, then our cupboard is pretty empty

Benson. I'll take the mystery box over what I have seen from Reinhart which isn't much.

Most people in the know would still consider Griff to have top4 upside.

He's already capable of playing bottom pairing minutes, has the potential for more.

I guess a low end #4 counts as a top 4 D. I'm not impressed.

What's a low end #4?

If he turns out to be a 20+ minute a night shutdown defenseman used against quality competition and top PK minutes, he's an important piece of the Oilers' future blue-line.

That question has been answered time and again. Benson had a cyst on his tailbone. It wasn't a hockey related issue. Potluck can't throw a hit without injuring himself.

You do know that he missed the entire second half of the season due to a groin injury right? That cyst surgery was the reason he started the season late (late October) as the surgery was before the season started. He missed December to February with the groin injury came back for a couple games and then reaggrevated the injury and shut himself down for the year.

I've been watching this kid since he was 14, he's a fantastic player and not as injury prone as people on here seem to think. He is also a lot more talented and skilled than Pitlick.

I was under the impression that the groin/hip injury was due to over compensating because of the cyst and surgery to remove it and how it weakend the general area. He never was 100% when he came back to start the season.

A steady shutdown defender with limited upside, but has a solid first pass and can transition the puck, Or a Dman who can play on the PP and chip in more offensively but is a bit of a liability in his own end.

By ever account, except for people bitter about the trade that sent draft picks away, the first player is what Reinhart projects to be. I'll take the Dman who can play D every time.
