The HFNHL LA Kings have had a busy off-season in 2011, shaping the roster and gearing up for a playoff push in 2011-12. Last year, the club failed to make the playoffs in the tough Western conference, and a large part of that was due to sheer inexperience, a slow start to the season and a young roster that hasn't developed to its full potential yet. Here is a look at the roster movement of the Kings this off-season.

Troy Brouwer - F - trade
Gilbert Brule - F - trade
Patrick Kaleta - F - trade
Mark Fistric - D - traded for draft pick (D Mattias Backman)
Josh Hennessy - F - UFA
Bill Thomas - F - UFA

Players in:

Brad Marchand - F - signed ELC
Sami Salo - D - UFA signing
Curtis Glencross - F - trade
John Madden - F - UFA rights acquired and re-signed
Mark Stuart - D - trade
Adam Hall - F - UFA signing
Braden Holtby - G - signed ELC
Clayton Stoner - D - signed ELC
Dennis Endras - G - UDFA signing

"We feel that the Kings will be a much stronger team this coming season and beyond." said GM Mike McEwan. "We've added key veteran leadership and depth to the forwards and defense, and are excited to have each one of them on board." McEwan went on to add that "With the continued improvement of our young core players and the additions that we've made, we are confident that the LA Kings will be more than competitive in the Western Conference this season."
