Time to update the Stars list, the Stars may actually have a top 20 list this year.

1) NICO HISCHIER
Nico's time as the Stars number one prospect will be short. Played all 82 games for NHL New Jersey Devils, 20 goals 32 assists and 52 points. Great numbers for the then 18 year old rookie. Future STARS NUMBER one center for many seasons. Graduating to HFNHL Stars.

2) RASMUS DAHLIN (new)
Number one pick in both NHL and HFNHL 2018 entry draft. Stars GM expects Rasmus to graduate from the prospect list as quickly as Nico did. Almost certainly will enter the NHL as the Sabers number one defenceman. Will change the face of the franchise. Blue chip prospect is an understatement.

3) ADAM BOQVIST (new)
Boqvist's stock at the entry draft fell due to concussion issues. Selected 11th overall HFNHL and 8th overall in NHL draft. Future top 4 d-man.

4) ALEX NYLANDER
Injuries have slowed Alex's development. Alex played very well at the U20 WJC where he tied for the team lead in scoring. Stars management hope Alex is 100% healthy when he enters NHL training camp this fall. Future top 6 forward.

5) GRIGORY DENISENKO (new)
Stars think the sky is the limit for Grigory. Will likely spend 2 seasons in the KHL before entering NHL. This dynamic scoring winger is worth the wait. Top line scoring winger.

6) BRETT HOWDEN
Brett is a very skilled two-way center who is, in most respects, the most talented center prospect currently in the NHL Lightning’s pipeline. Played very well at the U20WJC last year. Future second line forward, will turn full time pro this season.

7) THATCHER DEMKO
Patiently waiting for his chance to play for the NHL Vancouver Canucks. Demko has posted stellar numbers in the AHL the last 2 seasons. Stars GM projects Demko as the 1B goalie this season for the NHL Canucks. Future number one goalie in the HFNHL.

8) MIKE AMADIO
Put up good numbers in the AHL and played 37 games with the NHL LA Kings in 2018. A 4th round pick in 2014 HFNHL Draft for the Stars. Projects a 3rd line Center.

9) NICK MERKLEY
2015 1st round pick of the HFNHL Stars and NHL Coyotes. Had a very good first year in the AHL. Knee injuries have slowed Merkely's development and limited Merkley to just 38 games in the AHL where he posted 39 points. Too much skill here to write off Merkley as a bust, still projecting a top 9 forward with powere play duty.

10) MARCUS DAVIDSSON
2017 HFNHL Stars 2nd round selection (after Hischier). Played in the SEL as a 17 year old and put up very good numbers in the SEL as an 18 year old. Probably spends 2 seasons in Sweden before joining Rasmus Dahlin in Buffalo (NHL).

11) JACOB OLOFSSON (new)
12) ANDREW NIELSEN
13) NICOLAS ROY
14) KEVIN BAHL (new)
15) BRETT LERNOUT
16) GAVIN BAYREUTHER
17) ADAM HELEWKA
18) RYAN MACINNIS
19) PAUL BITNER
20) JOESEPH CECCONI

Write-up on 10-20 to follow tomorrow.
