The HFNHL Arizona Coyotes made a splash on the trade market in the past 24 hours trading one of the longest serving Coyotes in team history in Oscar Klefbom. He is moved with David Kampf, Niko Mikkola, prospect Alex Campbell. Returning to the Coyotes is former long term Captain Keith Yandle, along with Rickard Rakell and a sixth round pick in the upcoming 2021 HFNHL Draft.

This move was partially triggered by the Coyotes six straight losses and losses in 10 of 12 games. With the competitiveness of the league, the Coyotes have decided that this set back is enough to further invest in the future of the franchise with a strong wave of talent who will be making their HFNHL debut the next two seasons. Due to these moves the Coyotes are going to look to make available any players that aren't likely to benefit the team long term and encourage teams to state their interests in any players that may benefit their short term goals.

Coyotes are willing to take on salary from teams in exchange for picks and cash considerations.

Also when taking on players with salary we would be willing to take salary back as part of the deal.

Phil Kessel - Phil is off to a hot start currently tied for third in the NHL in goals scored with Bobby Ryan, Travis Konecny and Brock Boeser. As has always been the case, at 33 he's not someone we're trying to get rid of because he has a few more good years as a top line forward, but if we can get younger we'd be willing to move him.

Bobby Ryan - Bobby is currently tied for third in the NHL in goals scored with 4 in 3 games. With one more year on his contract next year, Bobby could really see a nice boost in his numbers which are already top nine on most teams.

Corey Perry - Good playoff performer, has good PA rating and one year left on his contract.

Brandon Pirri - Depth forward with some scoring ability

Marc Staal - A very solid shutdown defender who would boost anyone's blueline and penalty kill.

Keith Yandle - NHL's Ironman still has some game left and would be a solid puck mover for a contender.

Luke Schenn - Physical shutdown defenseman on an expiring contract

Anthony Bitetto, Scott Harrington, Kurtis MacDermid
All three of the above defenders are solid reliable third pairing defensemen who could go for a pick.

We would also entertain potential trade offers for current young playesr in the NHL as well or vice versa. No one is untouchable but I believe Mika Zibanejad, Jakob Chychrun, Nikita Zadorov and Pavel Zacha will be pretty tough to acquire.

So many good young players coming in -- makes sense to start that build around them. I'm sure we'll be talking again closer to the deadline.
