He's better than Suter's even been too. Suter is a top pairing defensemen but I never quite got all the hype. He's a glorified McDonagh.

In his prime Suter was pretty much a poor man's Lidstrom. Playing 30 minutes a night rarely making a mistake.

Chabot should have gone 5 picks ago. 8th in ppg for d men last year (55 in 70). -12 on the worst team in hockey that had a - 60 goal differential playing 24+ munutes a night with Demelo as his partner.

Why doesnt he get any respect? Just pure Ottawa hatred? Or no one has watched him play?

pretty close tbh. karlsson drove offense more mcdonagh drove defense more both of them had great offensive goal results.
