Kopitar has one bad year and it's like he's fallen off the face of the earth.
He actually had 2 bad years out of the last 3. In 2016-17 he only had 12 goals and 40 assists in 76 games, then followed that up with a 92-point season the following year. It's a roller coaster ride with Kopitar. For the record, I voted for him in this poll.

Yea you're right, completely forgot about that. It was also his first season as captain so maybe the extra responsibilities weighed on him.

Kuznetsov is literally 1 year removed from 80+ pts and the best playoff run of the decade.

By that logic - Kopitar is 1 year removed from a 90+ point/Selke winning season (that's comparable to Datsyuk's best seasons for reference sake) and has 2 playoff runs this decade who are on the level of Kuznetsov's and/or possibly better.

Kopitar. Guy is one season removed from a 92-point Selke season. It should have been Kopitar like 5 polls ago. Idk how anyone voted Seguin over Kopitar, Seguin's never even been close to Kopitar's 17-18 season.

Also Kuznetsov is crazy overrated because of one playoff run. Guy is useless outside of the offensive zone and even there he's not great. There's plenty of guys still on the board that can match his offensive output while not being useless on the rest of the ice.

Are we voting on who's the best centre currently? It's hard to say if the Kopitar of last season is the new norm or just an outlier.

I'm a big fan and don't have an issue with him getting votes here, but 3 years ago, he was at 52 points as well. 2 of the past 3 years haven't been great. Of course the 3rd was amazing.

Larkin. Pretty similar offensively to most players left. Far better defensively than most left. Larkin wins most of his matchups against other top centers.

Yea I kinda forgot about that season but it was his first as the captain so I'm a little more inclined to give him a break or sorts.
