What are you talking about? This is a stupid argument. If you have the puck, you're eligible to be hit provided the hit itself is clean. There is no exception for board battles.

Every time Barkov touches the puck the Panthers announcer says something like "Barkov with an MVP worthy play", "Barkov with some Selke defense right there", I think he dumped it in for a change and he said "That's why Barkov is an MVP candidate right there".
