Obscure reference for most on here, but last night's Devils' game reminds me of a 1970's (pre-Devils) game when the Rangers won in the Montreal Forum for the first time in a dozen or so games.

A veteran defenseman named Don Awrey was a shot blocking machine while a young goalie from Sweden named Hardy Astrom stood on his head for his first NHL win.

Ironically both were with the Colorado Rockies the following season.

Chicago wins and it keeps moving them down in the Celebrini odds race
LA loses and that is always a good thing.

I wonder if there's any degenerates out there putting money on Chicago tonight because of Bedard's resurgence.

If LA is serious about being a playoff threat they need to blow teams like this out of the water. What an up and down season it's been for the King's I've been following them since they set the road record in the Fall. Their roster says they should be better. Maybe it's the goaltending letting them down?

Looking at it from a broadcast perspective, I'd imagine the league is yielding to college and pro basketball in the US. Not saying I agree.
