I don't care how good McDavid and Draisaitl are playing them for 5-6 minute shifts does nothing. If your team is so desperate for scoring that your best players need be to burned out like that needs to be adressed.

It's rather symbolic that the game ended with the Oilers having McDavid and Draisaitl on the ice permanently for the final 25% of the 3rd period and them still ending the game passing the puck back and forth to each other as time is running out while waiting for a good look against 5 Calgary players amassed in front of the net.

Draisaitl and McDavid just wasting time counting down the clock. Being tired isn't an excuse to do nothing, you're down 2 goals with a minute left.

Flames knew exactly what was going on, they didn't attempt to attack the puck carrier and stayed in their box. Why get out of position to attack when the Oilers are doing your job for you?
