If you determine it by actual points they are not.
At this point dropping points is much better than acquiring points for them. Price should be tested most games, Weber should be shut down for the season. Still, I think they’ll be 0-4 vs Detroit on the season.MontreLoL

Toronto had a very easy schedule well timed with the coaching change.Aside from the 12-15 games after the firing, which may or may not have been attributed to a common boost immediately after a coaching change, they haven’t played well for over a full calander year.
They only have 3 regulation wins in their past 14 games.
Each team will play the same amount of games. And that’s a terrible way to do it because it doesn’t account for the discrepancy in games played. There’s a reason the NHL uses points percentage to sort the lottery order.

Habs are 0-4 vs the Red Wings ! 27% of Wings wins are vs the Habs
I don't think you should, but of course you can.Yes and that's why you should always rank teams by points percentage and that's why the NHL ranks teams by points percentage for the purpose of determining the waiver priority order.
PIT has feasted on the Devils and Rangers, can't beat TB/BOS, carried by unsustainable goaltending by Janny, overreliance on a couple of aging legends.
It's the 2020s and their top 2 guys are from 15 years ago.
They are CGY from last year- overperforming and will lose in round 1
Run and Gun hockey, perfect for running up stats but not good for playoff preparation if they make it.Since the Leafs hired Keefe, other than one hot streak, it is pretty underwhelming.
Dude the Rangers and Penguins have only played once this season and the Rangers won, lol.PIT has feasted on the Devils and Rangers, can't beat TB/BOS, carried by unsustainable goaltending by Janny, overreliance on a couple of aging legends.

Toronto is a talented team but imo they have an inflated sense of how good they are. No one on the team backchecks. They score a lot but they sacrifice defense to do it. Compared to Tampa, Boston, or Pitt who also score a lot but understand there are two sides to the rink. After they laid an egg against Buffalo I thought the Leafs would come out flying and at least give the Penguins a tough game. Something seems to be going on with that team. It doesn’t look like the coaching change has really addressed the fundamental problems. Matthews looks like he cares and so do a few others like Muzzin and Hyman. But far too many passengers and too many defensive lapses.
This is completely false. They have beat the best of the best with or without their best players.PIT has feasted on the Devils and Rangers, can't beat TB/BOS, carried by unsustainable goaltending by Janny, overreliance on a couple of aging legends.
