I would give Puljujarvi an extended look in that position.

Getting a forechecker with some decent puck skill to play RW shouldn’t be that hard.
Then Nuge is going to play with even worse scrubs.

McDavid already has Drai. We have to spread out the little talent we have left.

Nice to see Blueger having a good period. He shouldn’t be a scratch just because he is young/inexperienced. He’s simply better than some of the Penguins lower line guys.

They’re owning the Crosby line head to head so far.

Crosby/Guentzel/Rust have 2 or 3 prime scoring opportunities so far.

Wouldn’t say they have been owning them.

Also, wasn’t Crosby’s line on the ice for their goal. So outside of the one shift where they did do well and pinned them in their own zone, it’s been very even.

I love how everyone says NBCSN rides the Penguins D all the time. These guys love to kick the Pens when they are losing.

They don’t look like themselves of old Jonesy?! Tell me another one Nostradamus. Not only have they been playing lackluster, they have major guys injured/suspended from their team.

I wonder why they look like hell?

I sit and wonder how some of these guys have commentating jobs. They are idiots.

Lol feet travelled between strides has to be the single dumbest metric I've ever seen. They're trying real hard to generate narratives for a player with 33 goals. If he was canadian they would be praising his patience and grit...

Doug MacLean is a f***ing moron. Draisaitl was waiting for McDavid to catch up and they almost got a breakaway out of it. He was looking at Connor the entire time.

Most of my criticism is toward the organization for not building a better roster. But, Zack Kassian is a known scrub. You might as well try some potentially decent young players with McDavid and Draisaitl instead of a scrub.

Drai on passing to Kassian on that 2on1...'im good dawg'

Exactly, and the goaltender and defensemen knew it the whole time. McDavid is being wasted.

Doug MacLean ranting on Drai not moving his feet coming into the zone. FFS man, he was one on three. He slows the play down to let him linemates get to open ice.

Drai has lots of oh sh!t moments, but that was hardly one of them.

@PR_NHL: With an assist tonight, Connor McDavid became the 3rd player since 1989-90 to be held without a point in 7 or fewer contests through 55 personal games. The others: Mario Lemieux - 1989-90 (3), 1992-93 (5), 1995-96 (5) Wayne Gretzky
